Pediatric healthy volunteers are a necessity to our clinical studies. We are now accepting children and teenagers aged 18 and under for healthy volunteers to our current studies, childhood obesity and pediatric flu.
Just as with other studies, control groups are necessary to discern differences between sick and healthy individuals. Results of healthy volunteers are compared with those from the group that's being studied. The control group will typically match the studied group in some way, such as the same gender or similar age group.
Research into pediatric studies focuses on finding drugs to improve symptoms or even cure diseases. Clinical trials are a necessary part of any medical research, and there are many focused on pediatric illnesses.
If your child or teenager is a healthy individual, they might be eligible to volunteer for a clinical trial in your area. Participants may receive compensation for time and travel. To see if you or someone you know may qualify, please contact us at 614-501-6164 or complete our online volunteer form.
This is a great way to make extra money and be involved in a research study that will help and benefit many people to come. I’ve really enjoyed myself with the program and with the staff.
"Thank you for your courtesy and kindness. I felt confident and comfortable. I would recommend the research study here. My coordinator was awesome and very caring."
Any stigma or hesitation about clinical research should be disregarded. A good learning program for research studies.
It's a good way to find out if there's some new drugs that can help people that have problems like mine and the people here are just wonderful to work with.
