Lean Protein & Fats for Diabetes

Carbohydrates 101: Lean Protein & Fats

Lean protein and good carbs are healthy eating options. Protein is available from many sources, such as meat, eggs and cheeses. However, many of these foods are high in fat and calories as well, which can make them less healthy. Lean protein has less fat and is better for you. There are also many options when eating carbohydrates. Carbs are found in many foods and beverages, but not all carbs are good. For instance, regular soft drinks and white bread contain carbs, but these are not healthy carbs.
