Smallpox Preventative Studies in Columbus
Aventiv Research is currently participating in an investigational smallpox preventative research study at our Columbus, Ohio location. With the advent of biowarfare as an instrument of terrorism, smallpox can no longer be thought of as a disease only of historic impact. To prepare for a potential threat, the Department of Defense needs to determine if a vaccine alongside an antiviral preventative is a safe and effective treatment for the general population.
Smallpox Preventative and Vaccine Interaction Study
The main objective of this study is to learn whether or not your body will make a protective substance called an antibody after receiving the JYNNEOS vaccine together with TPOXX to protect against smallpox.
We are specifically looking for healthy adult volunteers who:
- are 18 through 42 years of age
This study will require you to visit our research site about 9 times during the study.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to protect your health and safety, we’re practicing enhanced safety measures at our clinical research sites.
