COVID-19 Pediatric Vaccine Trials in Columbus
Aventiv Research is currently participating in an investigational COVID-19 pediatric vaccine study at our Columbus, Ohio location. This research study involves an investigational vaccine (not approved by health authorities in children of the age being asked to volunteer for this study) (BNT162b2) to prevent COVID-19, that will be given to volunteers. “Investigational” means that the study vaccine is currently being tested. It is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), although it does have Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine is given by injection in 2 doses.
Pfizer Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine Study
The primary objective of this clinical trial is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, immunogenicity, and efficacy of the BNT162b2 RNA-based COVID-19 vaccine candidate against COVID-19 in healthy children. Participants must have the informed consent of parent(s) or legal guardian.
We are specifically looking for volunteers who are:
- Children at least 6 months and less than 12 years of age
- Healthy participants who are determined so by medical history and physical examination for inclusion in the study
