Pediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccine Clinical Trials in Columbus

Aventiv Research is currently participating in a Phase 1 pediatric respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine study at our Columbus, Ohio location. RSV is a common virus that infects most people during childhood. In some small babies, RSV can cause serious chest infections like pneumonia. Like any other drug, a new vaccine must be tested on human subjects before being approved for use by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA).

Pediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccine Clinical Trial

This study is being done to see:

  • What are the best doses of a new investigational respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine called MV-012-968 for children ages 6-24 months old
  • If this new RSV vaccine causes side effects
  • If this new RSV vaccine “wakes up” or “boosts” the immune system

We are enrolling healthy children who have not been previously infected with RSV who are between 6 and 24 months old. They will be given either the RSV vaccine or a placebo as a nose spray.

As a part of our ongoing commitment to protect your health and safety, we’re practicing enhanced safety measures at our clinical research sites.
