Peanut Allergy Clinical Trials in Columbus
Centricity Research is currently participating in an investigational Phase 1 peanut allergy study at our Columbus, Ohio location. When a person allergic to peanut proteins eats food containing peanuts, an immune response is triggered within seconds or minutes causing skin rashes, vomiting, difficulty breathing, and even death in extreme cases. Currently, there is no cure for peanut allergy.
Peanut Allergy Study
The main purpose of this study is to see how safe and tolerable an investigational drug is for people with peanut allergies. The other purpose of this study is to find out if it helps your body tolerate peanut protein.
You may qualify for this study if you:
- are 16-55 years of age
- Peanut allergy diagnosed by a physician or a history of peanut allergy
- A blood test showing peanut-specific immune response markers
- A positive skin prick test to peanut
*There will be other qualifications that you must meet before you can participate in this study. If you qualify and agree to participate in this study, you will be required to make five (5) visits to the study clinic. Compensation will be paid for the visits you have completed.
