Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Trials in Columbus

Centricity Research is currently participating in an investigational Cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine study at our Columbus, Ohio location.  Currently, there is no approved vaccine to prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV), an infection that’s a common cause of birth defects in the U.S. CMV is the most common infectious cause of birth defects and can be transmitted from a pregnant woman to her unborn child. Some babies born with CMV infection develop problems such as hearing loss, learning problems, or vision abnormalities and can even die. The best option to prevent CMV infection is the use of a safe and effective vaccine to reduce the number of infants with CMV and help individuals with weak immune systems.
