Though occasional constipation is very common, some people experience chronic constipation that can interfere with their ability to go about their daily tasks. Chronic constipation is infrequent bowel movements or difficult passage of stools that persists for several weeks or longer. Chronic constipation may also cause people to strain excessively in order to have a bowel movement.

Aventiv Research is seeking people for a clinical trial who are living with chronic constipation that would like to try something other than medication to relieve their symptoms.

  • You must be diagnosed with Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC) and have not experienced relief of your symptoms from available therapies for at least one month
