Anemia in Hemodialysis Clinical Trials in Phoenix

Aventiv Research is currently participating in an anemia in hemodialysis study at our Phoenix, AZ location. Anemia is a common complication of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Anemia is less common in early kidney disease, and it often gets worse as kidney disease progresses and more kidney function is lost. Hemodialysis is a medical procedure to remove fluid and waste products from the blood and to correct electrolyte imbalances. It is used to treat both acute (temporary) and chronic (permanent) kidney failure. Advances in drug therapy are key to improving maintenance treatment of anemia in hemodialysis patients.
