A Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for conducting clinical trials using Good Clinical Practice (GCP). They are monitored by an Institutional Review Board (IRB ) and are under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI)
The Staff at Aventiv Research works off of four key elements;
Dr. Arora went to medical school in Manipal, India. He then did his residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie PA. During his residency he worked on multiple original research studies one of those on breast feeding received national attention garnering interviews on major networks and newspapers. Since then Dr. Arora has been involved in clinical research acting as principle investigator or sub investigator on over 100 studies. He holds the prestigious CPI designation by the ACRP. He is the president and medical director of Aventiv Research and is actively involved in the running of the company.
Dr. Sridhar Guduri has been with Aventiv Research since 2007. He has since become the Principal Investigator at Dublin Clinical Research. Dr. Guduri has been in practice for more than eleven years and is board certified in Allergy /Immunology as well as Internal Medicine. He enjoys doing research because it allows him to be on the cutting edge of developing new medications and allows him to offer patients treatments that are not readily available. Dr. Guduri has a wife and two daughters. Apart from his private practice and research, he has a passion for education and volunteers as a math teacher for Kindergarten and 2nd graders.
Roy St. John, M.D. F.C.C.P. attended medical school and completed his residency at the Ohio State University. Dr. St. John specializes and is board-certified in pulmonology and critical care medicine and has over 25 years of experience in the field. He was awarded the “Lifeline of Ohio Physician of the Year” in 2012 and has a rich research background including clinical research in sepsis and pneumonia and was the first provider of bronchial thermoplasty for patients with severe asthma in Central Ohio. Dr. Roy St. John resides in Columbus and enjoys spending time with his wife and their 3 children, reading, playing golf, and is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Dr. Sharma went to medical school in one of the top five medical schools in India. She then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in India. She subsequently completed another residency in Internal Medicine from Mt Carmel Health System, Columbus, Ohio; and a fellowship in Clinical and Molecular Endocrinology and Diabetes from UH Case Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently a practicing endocrinologist in the Columbus, Ohio area. Her wide clinical experience generated her interest in research activities at Columbus Clinical Research. She feels that sound clinical research is the essential foundation for development and appropriate application of agents to improve management of disease conditions. When she is not practicing or researching medicine she enjoys music and books.
Dr. Jess DeMaria specializes in general dermatology and dermatologic surgery and was recently ranked as one of the top ten dermatologists in central Ohio. Dr. DeMaria earned his undergraduate degree, Summa Cum Laude, from The University of Toledo in 1981. In 1985, Dr. DeMaria earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University. He was initially Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1991 and continues to maintain his board certification. He is currently a principal partner at Central Ohio Skin and Cancer.
Dr. DeMaria is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Medical Association, the Ohio Dermatological Society, and The Thompson Society for Scholarship Endowment at The Ohio State University. He's also a past officer of the Central Ohio Dermatological Society and served as a member of the Ohio Dermatologic Association Board of Trustees. An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. DeMaria is the dermatology consultant for The Ohio State University Athletic Department, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Ohio High School Athletic Association's state wrestling tournament.
Randy Bressler, DO Gynecologist, is currently in private practice in Columbus, Ohio. He received his B.S. from Otterbein University, attending graduate school at The Ohio State University studying Anatomy and Physiology. He attended medical school at Ohio University College of Osteopathy, rotating internship at Doctor's Hospital, and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologist.
Dr Bressler recently became a Principal investigator at Women's Health Research a division of Aventiv Research Inc. (formally Columbus Center for Women's Health Research). He had been a Sub-Investigator at the Columbus Center for Women's Health since 2001.
Dr. Artman is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has provided specialized care for women of all ages in her private practice for more than 20 years. She has repeatedly been judged by her peers to be among the Best Doctors in America®, and has been recognized by Columbus Monthly Magazine.
Dr. Artman graduated from Cornell University and from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She performed a 4-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ohio State University Medical Center. During college, medical school, and residency, Dr. Artman participated in scientific research and as a resident she received several awards for research activities. She joined Aventiv Research to use her clinical background and her understanding of research and statistical analysis to further advance scientific understanding of Women’s Health.
Dr Stephen L. Kebe MD FAAP is a Board-Certified Pediatrician. He has been the Founder, Lead physician, Manager, and Lab Director for over 25 years for the American Health Network Pediatrics in Grove City. In 1995 his practiced merged with several practices into a large multispecialty group called American Health Network of Ohio. As a founding member, he was an instrumental advisor on several committees that formulated the policies, by-laws and methods for compensation for the entire organization.
Throughout his tenure as a Pediatrician he has served as an adjunct Clinical Instructor for The Ohio State University Schools of Medicine and Nursing as well as Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In those capacities, he served as a Preceptor and Attending Physician, training Resident, Medical and Nursing students in the art of Clinical Pediatric care in ‘Hospital’ and ‘Out-patient’ settings.
Additionally, Dr. Kebe is consulting with Aventiv Research Inc. as the Lead Pediatric Investigator and Vaccines Specialist, functioning as a Principal and Sub-Investigator on multiple clinical trials. Most recently, Dr. Kebe obtained certification in Medication Assisted Treatment for Opiate addiction which allows him to work at Hope of Jabez (a Faith-based clinic), counseling and implementing a medical treatment plan for substance abusers.
Dr. Sahani graduated alongside Dr. Arora from Kasturba Medical College in India. From there, he completed his fellowship at Loyola University. He currently works in Mesa, Arizona as well as several other locations around the area. Specializing in Nephrology, Dr. Sahani is affiliated with multiple medical centers as well as spending time treating patients on local Indian Reservations. He has one daughter with his wife, who is also a practicing physician.
Grazia was born and raised in Youngstown, OH. but moved to Columbus after graduating high school to become a Buckeye. After spending some time at OSU, she transferred to Mount Carmel where she received her BSN. Grazia worked at the OSU Wexner Medical Center as an ICU nurse for 3.5 years before going back to Otterbein to receive her MSN. For the last two years, Grazia has been working as a Nurse Practitioner at The Little Clinic.
Grazia married her husband, Chris, in May, 2015 and has three little pups that they love to spoil. When she is not working, Grazia loves playing soccer, watching the English Premier League, renovating her 100 year old home, and traveling all over the world.
Meg was born and raised in Akron, OH and moved to Columbus after high school to attend The Ohio State University. After graduating from college with a focus in Molecular Genetics and Anthropology, Meg pursued a position with Aventiv Research. During her six years of employment with the company she has progressed from a research assistant, to coordinating clinical trials, and to finally serving as the Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, she oversees the company’s three sites in Ohio and one in Arizona. Her duties include regulatory management, study and site start up, conflict management, SOP development and implementation, and conduction of qualification visits.
Michelle LaPage has been involved with the clinical research industry since 1989 and has worked for a number of private research sites. She has conducted new study business development for 10 years and assumed the role of Director of Business Development for Aventiv Research, Inc., in January of 2015. Michelle serves as the initial contact for new clinical trial opportunities and works closely with the Investigators and teams to ensure timely responses. Arielle was born and raised in Littleton, CO and moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. After graduating from college in Psychology, Arielle joined Aventiv Research as a research assistant. During her five years at Aventiv, Arielle has progressed from a research assistant to coordinating clinical trials. Additionally, she currently serves as the company’s Research Education Manager where her duties include recruiting new employees, conducting new employee orientation, developing and implementing training programs that provide employees with the opportunity to learn, gain knowledge and receive applicable skills in clinical research. Her past times include snowboarding, hula hooping, and spending time with her cats.
Our Clinical Research Assistants help our Coordinators with the activities of each study. Their duties may include, Blood Draws, ECG, Sample Processing, and Data Entry. All Research Assistants are IATA certified as well as GCP trained.
Our dedicated team of recruitment coordinators work hard at pre-screening and screening patients, making sure that they are the right fit for our enrolling studies.
Our Clinical Research Coordinators are responsible for the organization, coordination, and overall integrity of the trials that we participate in.
